Toxocara canis egg 75-90 microns and are spherical in shape with an ovoid, pitted capsule wall - - In saline faecal preparation from a dog. T.canis is a common intestinal ascarid of the dog. Humans become infected when they ingest infective eggs in contaminated soil or food, larvae enter the blood stream and may locate in any organ of the body where they die causing an inflammatory reaction called Visceral larva migrans.
